You can raise a child within a religion and still let them come up with their own opinions. Raising a child in a certain faith does not mean that you just closed to doors to everything else.
That’s such a black and white view of the world.
I was raised Jewish but it’s not like I wasn’t allowed to explore other religions. But oftentimes, having a religion and being raised in one gives you a really good starting point. It gives you a base and you know what to look for, you know what you don’t like. You can come up with certain questions. You have experience and therefore can look at things from multiple points of view. That’s how I ended up where I am.
